  • Navigation bar

The navigation bar is located on the left hand side of the application window. It consists of myCRM, levels and quickstart bar .

  • Desktop

The desktop consists of a personal greeting, a slogan of the day, a personalized picture as well as reports and diagrams. Main windows are opened in the desktop area.

  • Status bar

The status bar, on the horizontal section on the lower screen area, gives information on the status of what is currently displayed in the window and other information.

Depending on the area of the application window you are currently in, frame and header of myCRM, tree, main and sub area of the Main window are color-highlighted.

Main window

A main window is made up of an upper main area and a temporarily blended-in sub area in the lower window half. In the main area you can switch from list view to form view. The title of the main window contains information about the displayed and the parent dataset.

The list view contains all datasets selected during a search in a list. The marked dataset is displayed in the form view. After switching to the form view, the dataset information are updated in the tree. You can also edit and delete in the list view.

While the list view can only display a selection of data to a dataset, the form view gives you access to all the data on the entity.

  • With the button

    resp.
, you can switch from form view to list view.

Below the main area, linked datasets are listed in the sub area. You can select additional linked datasets through the menu of the top switch to the sub area, with the tabs of the sub area or in the tree* (* The selection with the tree only works when the user setting Open main window with click is turned off) by clicking on a folder of the current dataset.

When opening the main window, the sub area is automatically blended in. In case you want to have your personal default information area blended in automatically in the sub area, switch to the tab and click the button Remove primary tab property.

With another click on the button

the sub area is automatically displayed again according to the system settings when the main window is opened.

1. Which entity is displayed, is set by the system. You set the sorting order of the displayed datasets.

2. To load additional data for display in the sub area, additional processes are worked off, which may extend the invocation process.

The link between the dataset in the main window (main area) and the linked dataset (sub area) can be removed. Only the link is removed, the dataset is not deleted. Mark the desired dataset and click

The dataset in the main window (main area) can also be linked to an existing one in the system or to a completely new one. To create a link to an existing dataset, click on

and select the dataset using the search window. The allocation window opens and shows all existing links. Here, you can add additional links or remove existing links. With the New button (button with the symbol to the displayed entity), you can create a new dataset, which is directly linked. With that you get to the main window of the other entity.

The data listed in the sub area can be exported with the button to Excel.

Level main window

The level main window is the first window that opens in a level.

Search window

A separate window is opened for the search. After finishing or cancelling the search, the window is closed again.

  • To open the search window, click

    Searching

It automatically opens with the main window, if you have selected that option.

Located on the left side of the search window, you will find entry fields for search conditions and search criteria. The results of a search are shown in a list on the right side of the search window.

Allocation window

With the help of the allocation window, one or more datasets are linked to other datasets. Generally, these datasets are of different entities (like when assigning a contact person to an activity). Like in the business partner relation, they can belong to the same entity.

The allocation window is always opened to the dataset to which the other one(s) is(are) to be assigned to.

The allocation window mainly consists of two lists. One contains a pool of datasets which were selected through the search function. By moving datasets from this list to the other, a dataset is assigned. The second list contains the assigned datasets.

Memo window

A memo window opens to a memo field. It shows the contents of the memo field over the entire area of the window. This allows you to display long texts completely. With Minimize window and Maximize window you can choose between two different window sizes. You can also change the size of the window by shifting the window edges.

For a concise display or to highlight text passages, you can format text. The toolbar above the text offers a range of functions, like changing font, size and color. The format is adopted to single letters and e-mails, but not to tasks, appointments and reports.

The scroll bar (CTRL++ and CTRL+-) below the text has a zoom function and enlarges / minimizes the display size of the text. During a session, the last selected settings are restored when opening a memo window. Only once CURSOR-CRMis started again, the basic setting is used again.

A double click on the memo field opens the memo window. Close the memo dialog with OK. This also copies your changes into the memo field. If you want to discard your changes, close the window with Cancel.

Dialog window

A dialog window is a helpful tool that uses the program to communicate with you, the user. It uses dialog windows to inform you about things or to get a selection or decision from you.

The dialog window consists of a title line, the dialog text, as well as switches to make decisions and/or close the window. The switch which is marked with an additional frame may alternatively be used by pressing ENTR

. The dialog window is always foreground. For you to be able to read the underlying window and information, it can be moved. Its size, however, cannot be changed.

Certain dialogs can be switched off, so it will not be shown next time: Check mark the entry Don’t display this dialog the next time. With Options / Show all dialogs you reverse that setting for all dialogs.

Calendar window

The calendar window contains a calendar with which you can chose a date through a date field.

  • You open the calendar window with a click on

The calendar window shows a whole month, split into weeks and weekdays. Month and year can be selected in the above fields. The month is a fold down menu, the year is a normal entry field. Both fields have a scroll function (< >) that can switch to the next or previous month/year.

The current date is marked red. The green marked date complies with the entity in the date-field. To change the date click on the desired day.

Today! adapts the current date.

E-mail transmission

For editing an e-mail there is a CURSOR-CRM-sided window for the Server-sided groupware integration .

In the e-mail transmission window, the e-mail generated from the activity is displayed. The addressees and employees linked to the activity are automatically entered in the fields (To…, Cc... and Bcc...). You can add/remove addressees.

Attach document… attaches a document from the file system or CURSOR-CRM to the e-mail.

  • To send the email, click the button

    Send.

Maximum number of windows

In many opened levels and masks errors are possible to occur when the Client memory does not offer sufficient scope. Opening the window now checks the number of windows opened. In case the maximum number of windows is already opened, the opening process is aborted with a message. Default value now is 20 opened window at the same time. Only the administrator can change that.
